What is Creative Coaching?
Creative Coaching is not Art therapy. I have an art degree, and a post graduate certificate in Coaching Practice. I use my many years experience to bring together these two principles.
Whether you consider yourself creative or not, Creative Coaching techniques will bring out the best in you. We won’t create masterpieces in our sessions, but we will use colour and pictures in some of our work. We may also take a more planned and structured approach – it is whatever works best for you.
Creative Coaching is about creating a dynamic shift in your thought processes using creative techniques.
Some of the things we may explore (this list is not exhaustive, nor can we tackle everything in one session, but we will tailor your approach together, focusing support where you most need it):
- Express yourself using imagery, creative writing or other art based technique.
- Reflect on who you are and how that differs from where you want to be.
- Develop creative thinking and take it to the next level.
- Seize opportunity.
- Plan, map and take a personal journey.
- Love yourself for who you are and accept that others will love you too.
- Engage both the left and right sides of the brain.
- Trust your instincts.
- Be future focussed not dwelling over past events.
- Own your own dreams.
- Release your inner artist.
- Use your emotions positively
- Choose, dream and achieve.
- Taking a journey of self discovery.
- Developing self preservation techniques.
- Having fun and seizing the moment.
- Getting messy – if you want to.
- Harnessing the creative you.
- Ditching the stuff that holds you back.
- Learning to shine
- Making time for you.
- Creating copy strategies
- Getting out of your own way
