As an artist I am fascinated by the world around me. Every day I walk I take my camera capturing the close up details that others often miss.
PHOTOGRAPHY
The designs were taken from close up detail of a photograph. Although the photo has been manipulated to develop the colours already evident, colours have not been changed. They have merely been adjusted improving contrast and light and saturating the colours.
DESIGN
The art was printed onto fabric which has then been subjected a number of techniques including slash and reverse applique, heated textiles and hand & machine embroidery.
The photographs have then been digitally applied to glass, ceramics and textiles, to produce coasters, stained glass tea-light holders, glass art and cushion covers.
