Gaining confidence can often feel difficult because whenever we self analyse we can be extremely self critical. SO whenever I find myself challenging my confidence position it’s always less than where I would like it to be. I’m writing this on a wet bank holiday Monday, so I thought something simple was in order.

If only everything was as easy as ABC……

A – Acceptance of Self – one of the most difficult things to overcome is our self image. Isn’t it about time you accepted yourself for who you are? You are a unique individual and if you want others to accept you for who you are then you have to give yourself the same courtesy. Take a good long look in the mirror and write down a list of at least 7 things that you like about yourself.

B – Be Bold, Be Brave – sometimes even when confidence is lacking we need BIG BOLD plans. A goal, something to aim for, if we don’t change our perceptions of what we can achieve, nothing will change.

C- Comfort Zone – That old chestnut! Yes, but I keep raising it because it’s critical to becoming a more confident you. It only takes a very small step, but with each small step comes BIG personal growth. Don’t just expect it to happen you need to plan and prepare for it – and give yourself a big pat on the back when you do.
