When I first went for my Mammogram I had no idea what lay ahead of me, even when I was called back I didn’t expect to have this many mammograms – lets face it 7 should take me up to age 72 and I did actually manage to skip one, because they decided not to squish me on the day I wouldn’t stop bleeding.

So today I went down to Stoke Royal to get my Magseed fitted. A tiny piece of of metal detectable by probe and doesn’t (or so I’m told) set the alarms off at airports or get me accused of shop lifting.

I feel the same way about this as going to the dentist – the worst bit is when they inject you and it doesn’t half sting and then you know nothing else really. Apart from the fact the doctor has put a massive, purple, X marks the spot cross on me – so big I’m now concerned the surgeon may actually be blind. Oh and they wanted more photos so we finished with a boob squish – no 7 of course.

I get the day off tomorrow (Saturday) and then back down to Stoke at early O’Clock on Sunday to get a PCR.
