I’ve spent a lifetime fading into the background.  The majority of my working career was spent head down, “Doing a good job” then feeling bitter for not being noticed for it or someone else getting credit for a project.  Other colleagues would be asked to work on projects, or later in life in business it is now important for me to be noticed in networking meetings.

So here are 5 tips on making yourself more memorable:

  • Show curiosity and interest in others.
  • Don’t interrupt
  • Be Yourself – Enjoy The Conversation
  • Make an extra effort to remember and use peoples names
  • Invite people to join you for coffee or lunch – don’t wait to be asked.

They’re simple but effective.
