I was asked recently how I write my blog and keep coming up with new stuff to write about.  The reality is that every time I sit down I wonder what on earth I am going to say and am petrified I might get writers block.

Here’s what I do…

  1. Use everyday influences, writing a journal really helps even if its just a few notes.  And it doesn’t have to be clever thought, just what you’ve been doing this week.  E.g. I walked through a field of cows this week, they were very calm even though I had my dog Ziggy with me.
  2. I think about what my target audiences might be interested in.  I keep it short and simple – little snippets they can take away
  3. I keep it true and I keep it real.  Openness and honesty are really important to me. I believe it comes through when I write.

So, perhaps I could write a blog post about what we can learn from cows about remaining calm.

writing a blog post, keeping a journal, journalling, start with a blank page, writers block
