…….. some would say stressed.  Lets face it – we’re busy enough normally, but add to that Christmas shopping, house cleaning, extra events fairs etc.  And none of the day to day of your job, career, business or home life goes away does it?

So how do you handle the extra pressure?

As with most things, most of the pressure will be coming from you.  Does that surprise you?  It’s that little voice in your head that’s telling you that EVERYthing has to be done.  The mince pies need to be homemade because you always make your own.  The Christmas tree needs to be up by this weekend because everyone else has started to put theirs up.  Mine’s called Nat.  Naming the voice helps me to talk back to it and correct it because Nat isn’t always right.

So take 30 mins out and work out what does need to be done and what items will save you time if you do them differently.  This will be your coping strategy.  Will the world end because you’ve been to Tesco for your mince pies?  Probably not, in fact most people would go to Tesco to get theirs so would not see anything unusual in it.

Yes this is my Christmas tree, but it is last years.  I have taken the decision not to even think about it until after this weekends mad few days of events and markets.  So think on – What’s your coping strategy?
