Do you remember those days?  You could just get a scrap of paper and some crayons and draw magical pictures or make up worlds in your head.  There was no right or wrong…..

…. you just let your imagination run wild and no one stopped you.  That was until you reached a certain age.  At that point people may think you silly, dreaming up worlds with unicorns, drawing faces where everyone was happy and it was normal to have an imaginary friend.

We’re often encouraged to pack up our imagination and just focus on the real world, its problems, its troubles and how you’re going to deal with life right now. We ask questions like, “What will others think?”, “Will it work”, “What if I get it wrong” – all cautious questions and not one serves to help you.

Not my clients.  Together we work creatively to find solutions and create goals.  Getting out the crayons again and drawing a world how you would like it to be may seem a little crazy but to achieve something, you have to dream and if you really want it then any dream can become a reality (give or take the odd unicorn).

It does take a bit of getting used to, but its simple, start with a piece of paper and a coloured pen or two and think “if there was nothing to stop me, how would I want my life to look?”

I’m not saying just by thinking it, it will magically happen overnight, but if you make it your focus, ask yourself with every decision whether you are moving nearer to your goal and look for opportunities and ways to make it happen, you can do it, I know you can.
